The Chenoweth Award is a prestigious annual honor established in 1979 by the Trinidad–Las Animas County Chamber of Commerce. Named in recognition of Judge and Congressman J. Edgar Chenoweth, the award celebrates individuals whose leadership, integrity, and service have made a lasting and positive impact on the quality of life in Trinidad and Las Animas County.
Following a hiatus after the 2020 ceremony due to COVID-19, the award is being proudly revived by the Trinidad–Las Animas County Chamber of Commerce (TLAC) and the Trinidad Community Foundation.
