Yes, it's true. Chicago was booked to play Woodstock but cancelled because their agent double booked them into the Filmore West in California.

Sanatana ended up replacing them and launched their great career at that festival.

Pieces of Eight www.po8tampa.com will feature nearly the entire first album of songs from CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY from their 1969 album release of the same name. Come hear all the deep cuts of the earliest years and relive memories of Chicago including many of their charts that became #1 hits.
