Drawing on the principles of Body-Mind Centering®, we focus on the organic qualities of the body and investigate how they can deepen, simplify, and enliven our connections during contact. What qualities do the organs bring to the encounter? How do their volume, elasticity, and mobility influence our contact and our movement choices? Together, we embark on a journey into the world of the organs, discovering their potential for movement and perception. The organs unlock a wide range of movement qualities—from spiraling motions, stability, and centering to softness and adaptability. We explore the interplay between letting go and applying strength, discovering how these qualities can infuse our Contact Improvisation practice with lightness, depth, and vitality. In doing so, we open up new possibilities for connection, support, and creative expression in dance. Sunday: Happy Failure – Open Level Let’s leap into the unknown together. In this workshop, we explore the idea that Contact Improvisation begins precisely where plans, expectations, and fixed forms end. Perhaps Contact Improvisation is, above all, what happens between the lifts—in the transitions, the surprises, and the moments when things turn out differently than anticipated. What happens when a movement doesn't lead in the expected direction but transforms into something entirely new? How can we view falling, sliding, and the various levels of space as invitations? How do we follow momentum, adapt in the moment, and allow new possibilities to emerge from the unforeseen? Together, we cultivate curiosity about failure, trust in the process, and the joy of discovery. And, of course, we will also play with various lifts—not as fixed shapes, but as fluid starting points that can constantly shift and evolve within our shared flow. Movement has been her form of expression since early childhood. Her journey led her from ballet and artistic gymnastics—as well as various forms of modern and expressionist dance—to contemporary dance, improvisation, and contact improvisation; for her, these disciplines represent an incredible wealth of possibilities and a deep sense of authenticity. Gabriele is a qualified movement educator and, as of 2025, a Somatic Movement Educator in Body-Mind Centering. Samstag: Organic contact Improvisation-open level In diesem Workshop erforschen wir, wie Fluidität und Volumen im Körper die Praxis der Contact Improvisation unterstützen und bereichern können. Ausgehend von der Arbeit des Body-Mind Centering® widmen wir uns den organischen Qualitäten des Körpers und erforschen, wie sie Verbindung im Kontakt vertiefen, vereinfachen und beleben können. Welche Qualitäten bringen die Organe in die Begegnung? Wie beeinflussen ihr Volumen, ihre Elastizität und ihre Beweglichkeit unseren Kontakt und unsere Bewegungsentscheidungen? Gemeinsam begeben wir uns auf eine Reise in die Welt der Organe und erfahren deren Potenzial für Bewegung und Wahrnehmung. Die Organe eröffnen vielfältige Bewegungsqualitäten – von Spiralbewegungen über Stabilität und Zentrierung bis hin zu Weichheit und Anpassungsfähigkeit. Wir erforschen das Zusammenspiel von Loslassen und Kraft und entdecken, wie diese Qualitäten Leichtigkeit, Tiefe und Lebendigkeit in unsere Contact-Improvisation-Praxis bringen können. Dabei entstehen neue Möglichkeiten für Verbindung, Unterstützung und kreativen Ausdruck im Tanz. Sonntag: Happy failure- open level Lasst uns gemeinsam ins Nicht-Wissen springen. In diesem Workshop erforschen wir die Idee, dass Contact Improvisation genau dort beginnt, wo Pläne, Erwartungen und festgelegte Formen enden. Vielleicht ist Contact Improvisation vor allem das, was zwischen den Lifts geschieht – in den Übergängen, den Überraschungen und den Momenten, in denen etwas anders wird als gedacht. Was passiert, wenn eine Bewegung nicht in die erwartete Richtung führt, sondern sich in etwas völlig Neues verwandelt? Wie können wir Fallen, Rutschen und die verschiedenen Ebenen des Raumes als Einladungen verstehen? Wie folgen wir dem Momentum, adaptieren im Augenblick und lassen aus dem Unvorhergesehenen neue Möglichkeiten entstehen? Gemeinsam kultivieren wir Neugier für das Scheitern, Vertrauen in den Prozess und Freude am Entdecken. Und natürlich werden wir auch mit einigen Lifts spielen – nicht als feste Formen, sondern als bewegliche Ausgangspunkte, die sich im gemeinsamen Fluss stetig verändern und weiterentwickeln können.
