Butterfly Day

Join park partner, Virginia Master Naturalists - Merrimac Farm Chapter, to take a closer look at the many butterflies that call this park home! Play butterfly-themed nature games and take an up-close look at butterflies using magnifying glass and a microscope. Also take the opportunity to make butterfly-themed crafts and participate in a butterfly catch and release. All craft supplies will be provided and this is a great opportunity for kids to learn more about butterflies! This program takes place outside next to the visitor center.
