This holiday season, the Quinte West Public Library invites you to experience A Christmas Carol like never before! Inspired by the golden age of broadcasting, this unique program recreates the charm and spirit of a 1940s radio broadcast with an authentic “on-air” atmosphere.
Join our reader, Adam, as he brings Charles Dickens’ unabridged classic to life over four weeks, each weekly reading covering a different stave of the novel. Audience members will have the chance to react and even contribute to background ambiance, just like a live studio audience from radio’s golden era!
Seating inside the Podcast Studio is first come, first served. If the studio is full, you can still enjoy the reading from outside the studio as it’s being recorded. Episodes will later be featured on our Bookmarked Podcast available on Spotify.
Schedule:
Thurs, Nov 27 – Stave One: Marley’s Ghost
Thurs, Dec 4 – Stave Two: The First of the Three Spirits
