Hudba tejto skupiny odráža spoločné stredoeurópske korene oboch lídrov. Je silno ovplyvnená slovanskou a rómskou folklórnou tradíciou, ako aj impresionistickou klasickou hudbou a balkánskymi rytmami. Kompozície od Heraka a Bulatkina spájajú divoké rytmy, bohaté zvukové krajiny a silné, zapamätateľné melódie. Všetko toto v kombinácii s osobitým zvukom vibrafónu, jemnou elektronikou a využitím rozšírených techník na kontrabase robí z tejto skupiny jeden z najzaujímavejších nových projektov na európskej jazzovej scéne.

Projekt bol vybraný za ambasádorov českého jazzu v rámci “Roku českej hudby” v roku 2024, počas ktorého kapela vystúpila na veľkých pódiách po celom svete, vrátane festivalov v Tbilisi, Budapešti, Jeruzaleme, dokonca aj na prestížnom Jarasum Jazz Festivale v Južnej Kórei. Singel skupiny „The Simple Things“ s hosťujúcim majstrom saxofónu Seamusom Blakom získal ocenenie OSA za „Najlepšiu českú jazzovú kompozíciu roku 2024“. Na začiatku roku 2025 kapela ukončila svoje úspešné turné po Veľkej Británii, počas ktorého vystúpila aj v slávnom klube PizzaExpress v Londýne.

The music of this group reflects the shared Central European roots of both leaders. It is strongly influenced by Slavic and Gypsy folklore, as well as impressionist classical music and rhythms from the Balkan. Compositions by Herak and Bulatkin blend wild rhythms, lush soundscapes and strong memorable melodies. All this combined with the particular sound of the vibraphone, light electronics and the use of extended techniques on the double bass, makes this group one of the most interesting new acts on the European jazz scene.

The project has been selected as ambassadors of Czech jazz for the “Year of Czech Music” in 2024, during which the band performed on big stages all over the world, including festivals in Tbilisi, Budapest, Jerusalem, even at the prestigious Jarasum Jazz Festival in South Korea. The group’s single “The Simple Things” featuring master saxophonist Seamus Blake, earned the OSA award for “Best Czech Jazz Composition of 2024”. At the beginning of 2025 the band finished their successful UK tour during which they performed also at the famous PizzaExpress club in London.
