World Labyrinth Day Storytime & Garden Labyrinth Walk

On the first Saturday in May each year, thousands worldwide join World Labyrinth Day to meditate for peace and celebrate labyrinths. Many "Walk as One at 1" local time to create a wave of peaceful energy across time zones. 

This event will feature Story Time with a reading at 12:30 pm in the Visitor Center/on the Pavilion and move to the Labyrinth at 1:00 pm for a meditative walk.

Join us at 12:30pm for a special story time featuring "When I Slow Down" by local author Paul Sutherland. This beautifully illustrated children’s book – recommended to us by Cottage Book Shop in Glen Arbor - invites young readers to explore mindfulness through gentle yoga poses and an engaging story that encourages awareness of thoughts, emotions, and the body. Plan to meet at the Visitor’s Center.

Following story time, at 1:00 pm, we will begin a peaceful labyrinth garden walk to celebrate World Labyrinth Day and promote peace and well-being.

Hosted by The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns and PoWeR! Book Bags. Come slow down with us and create a peaceful wave of energy!

All ages are welcome.  This event is free and open to the public.
