- **Event Description**: The 2025-26 UU Common Read of Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection by Deepa Iyer invites Unitarian Universalists to grow more authentic, connected, and effective as individuals and communities as we pursue transformative justice together. Since there is also a companion children's book, We are the Builders, UUCGT will be offering opportunities for all ages to engage with this year's Common Read.

Beginning on February 22nd, we will host three sessions for about an hour after service for those who wish to engage deeper with the books. With this intentionally multigenerational program, designed by staff at the UUA, we will create a dynamic learning environment where participants engage with each other through diverse perspectives that enhance collective understanding. These sessions will be engaging and inclusive for children, teens, and adults!

If you've been feeling overwhelmed by all the injustice in our world and trying to figure out how you can make a difference, we hope you will join us for this Common Read. Sessions will be after service on February 22nd, March 1st, and March 8th. We will provide a light lunch before each session, so please pre-register via the Google Form link at the end of this message if you plan to attend so we can get a rough head count for food.

You can purchase the books via the UUA's InSpirit bookstore or your favorite bookseller. If you have access to the Hoopla app through our local library system, we've heard it may be available there as well. If you have a financial barrier to getting your own copy, please let us know so we can help get one in your hands.

This book series is open to everyone so please join us and bring a friend!  Even if you haven't read it- come and join us. It is an interactive book, and we will be going over it together!
