This annual remembrance brings together mariners, cadets, and community members to honor the 29 crew members lost aboard the Edmund Fitzgerald, reflect on our shared Great Lakes heritage, and the enduring legacy of those who sail its waters.

The Fitzgerald’s Captain Ernest McSorley, First Mate John McCarthy, and Second Mate James Pratt were all active ISMA members at the time of the sinking.

All are welcome — community members, alumni, and maritime professionals — to attend the ceremony and join us in honoring the men of the Fitzgerald.
