What begins as one woman’s midlife calling becomes a poetic story about renewal, courage, mothering, and our fragile relationship with the land.Through the film we hear a voice of an ancient speaking ash tree written by Kerri Ní Dochartaigh and voiced by actress, Mary McEvoy that weaves intimate interviews with Catherine, her family, neighbours, and local farmers. Blending documentary realism with lyrical storytelling, The Forest Midwife reflects on what it means to root oneself in nature, to listen to the earth, and to plant 27,000 native trees for generations yet to come.https://vimeo.com/984388904 https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events1/banners/434b1f00-70ee-11f1-b540-c1aeb246d945-rimg-w740-h740-dcc64521-gmir.jpg The Song Cycle Director Nick Kelly 2025 120 minutes IrelandA film about Mother Nature, Father Time and Brothers on the RoadThe Song Cycle is a feature documentary which follows a journey of the musician, Nick Kelly as he takes on an epic journey by bike, from Dublin to Glastonbury, where he performs for the first time with his fellow musician Sean Millar. It was part of a trilogy of campaigning films by the Make My Money Matter in the UK which highlighted that £88 billion of UK pensions is invested in fossil fuels. In Ireland, it is estimated that there may be up to 14 billion euros invested by Irish pension funds in fossil fuels and 31 billion euros routed through Ireland by International finance. Ireland isn’t just investing in fossil fuels, it is helping the world to fund them. As our planet approaches its limits, one of the solutions is to disinvest from fossil fuels. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events10/banners/45665de0-70ee-11f1-ae97-193f1cfe228b-rimg-w882-h740-dc605c49-gmir.jpg Women Restoring nature and livelihoods in Zimbabwe Director Luke Katemba Zimbabwe 2026 5 minutes Climate Adaptation and Protected Areas InitiativeIn Monde Village near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, climate change and drought have deepened economic uncertainty, especially for older women often overlooked in development efforts.
