The course provided at GBMC is approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), and fulfills the requirements to sit for the SANE-A through the International Association of Forensic Nurses. Persons interested in becoming certified as an FNE-A must have 18 months continuous experience in a clinical setting prior to applying for certification.The FNE-A (Forensic Nurse) provides medical- forensic treatment to patient's 13 and older who are seeking medical-forensic treatment for sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking.w ww.GBMC.org/SAFE-DVWe see the value of in-person learning for this specific field, therefore, it is required to attend all days of didactic for certification. The last day will include an intensive, hands-on skills day in our state of the art Simulation Center.Cost: $275.00 (Includes binder with materials and thumb drive of slides.) Fee payable in advance.
