Step back in time at the annual Winter Heritage Festival at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center!
Experience what life was like for early pioneers in Southern Appalachia through immersive, hands-on activities and living history demonstrations for all ages.
Learn traditional crafts from skilled living historians, hear from Cherokee Storytellers and the Smoky Mountain Storytellers Association, practice pioneer survival skills, and explore historic artifacts and period weapons, including firearms used by early settlers in East Tennessee. Visitors will gain a deeper understanding of daily life, work, and survival in the Southern Appalachian region.
Plus there will be special eactivities for our youngest visitors!
Additionally, come and see presentations from descendants of Cades Cove!
