Disclaimers/Key Info:
Soundbaths
Soundbaths are not recommended for individuals with epilepsy & pace makers, they need to consult a medical.professional before attending. It's a recommendation that anyone who is less than 12 weeks pregnant also avoids, like with anything in pregnancy.

Cacao Ceremony

Ceremonial doses of Cacao are not recommended for somebody who is taking antidepressants (Cacao contains MAO inhibitors), has a serious heart condition, has very high blood pressure, or suffers from epilepsy. Please speak to your doctor if you consider taking ceremonial doses of Cacao in any of these cases. Raw Cacao contains Histamine. Pregnant women should take smaller amounts.

Yoga

Please inform us ahead of time if you're pregnant or have specific injuries, so we can ensure the class caters for you too.

Acknowledgment of Risk:

While using the wellness facilities can be a pleasurable and beneficial experience, it is important to recognize and mitigate potential risks. The Shire Retreats and Events has taken measures to minimise foreseeable risks in accordance with UK Health and Safety legislation. However, you acknowledge potential hazards, including but not limited to:

• Slippery surfaces caused by water, ice, snow, or other substances.
• Exposure to cold and hot temperatures.
• Contact with hot equipment.
• Increased internal body temperature.
• Collisions or contact with other individuals or objects.
• Exposure to airborne illnesses or transmittable diseases.
• Defects or weaknesses in the design, construction, repair, or modification of the Sauna.
• Visible and invisible natural or man-made hazards in or around the Retreat.
• Other foreseeable and unforeseeable risks associated with Retreat usage.

Assumption of Health & Fitness:

By participating in the Retreat, you affirm that the following statements are true:

• You are not under the influence of drugs, alcohol, Medic*tion, or any other substances affecting your mental or physical state.
• If you have any pre-existing or ongoing medical conditions that may knowing or unknowingly put you or others at risk when using a sauna, such as but not limited to; breathing difficulties, high blood pressure, heart conditions or you are pregnant etc - you must have first consulted and obtained permission from registered GP before using the Sauna.

Assumption of Responsibility:

You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your safety and the safety of your personal property while using the facilities. The Shire Retreats and Events or any of its agents cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to customers (or their guests) personal property or affects.

Swimming in the Lake:Guests may have access to swim in the lake as part of their experience. While a qualified lifeguard will be on duty during swim times, you acknowledge and accept that entering and swimming in the lake is done entirely at your own risk. Natural bodies of water may contain variable depths, submerged objects, cold temperatures, and other hazards. The Shire Retreats and Events accepts no responsibility for injuries, accidents, or other incidents that may occur in connection with lake use. It is your responsibility to assess your own ability and comfort before entering the water, and to comply with all guidance given by lifeguards. 

Assumption of Age:

You acknowledge that you are over the age of 16. Anyone under the age of 16 will be refused entry to the retreat.

Sauna Etiquette:

You acknowledge that you will follow SUKU Saunas rules listed below at all times:

• Wear swimwear at all times.
• Always sit on a towel in the sauna.
• No food, drink, alcohol, drugs or smoking in the sauna. 
• No phones in the sauna. 
• Shower before using the cold plunge. 
• No products in the shower or cold plunge. 

Health and Safety:

You agree to take appropriate actions to ensure your safety and the safety of others while using the facilities. Your participation is voluntary, and you reserve the right to refuse or discontinue participation at any time. If you observe inappropriate or dangerous behaviour by other bathers, you will report this to The Shire Retreats and Events.

You acknowledge that The Shire Retreats and Events retains the right to refuse entry to any individual if there are concerns related to health and safety and refunds will not be provided to those denied admission.
