- **Event Description**: We spend an enormous amount of time trying to train dogs, while rarely questioning the one element that shapes every outcome before training even begins—the human.

Before a dog can learn, before behavior can change, before trust can settle into the nervous system, the dog must first answer one biological question: Is this environment safe enough to think? And the most powerful part of that environment is not the leash, the reward, or the technique—it is the human standing in front of them.

Dogs do not meet us at the level of intention or language. They meet us at the level of physiology. They read breath, posture, muscle tension, spatial pressure, and internal coherence long before a cue is ever processed. When the human is dysregulated, the dog remains in survival. When the human becomes stable, learning becomes possible.

This is why we do not begin by training the dog. We begin by training ourselves.

On March 7 and 8, I will be offering The Regulated Human as a two-day, in-person seminar. This work is not about adding techniques or systems. It is about removing the internal interference that keeps dogs locked in the primal mind and teaching the human to become a stable, predictable anchor.

Over two days, we work with embodied regulation—breath as a biological lever, posture and stillness as communication, and presence as the foundation of leadership. This is applied biology and neurophysiology translated into lived practice. The aim is not to appear calm, but to remain regulated under real pressure, so the dog no longer has to manage the environment for you.

When the human becomes regulated, the dog does not need to be controlled, corrected, or overridden. The system reorganizes naturally.

This two-day seminar is for trainers, handlers, and owners who are ready to stop managing behavior and take responsibility for the state they bring into the relationship. It is quiet, demanding, foundational work.
