„Zmysł / Onubhob / Senses” łączy prace powstałe w wyniku wieloletniej podróży artystki przez różne kraje, kultury i krajobrazy emocjonalne. Ręcznie robiony nepalski papier Lokta, węgiel drzewny, włókno konopne, tusz, kawa, suche liście czy plamy po herbacie tworzą organiczny język form - balansujący między tym, co realne, a tym, co wyobrażone. W ostatnich realizacjach artystka sięga także po własnoręcznie przygotowywane tusze z łupin awokado, buraków czy żołędzi dębu, pogłębiając relację z materią i światem przyrody.

Ważnym elementem wystawy jest język - obecny w wielu wersjach: bengalskiej, polskiej, angielskiej, hindi, sanskryckiej i francuskiej. Staje się on krajobrazem przejścia, w którym słowa takie jak „dom”, „nieznane” czy „życie” układają się w poetycką mapę doświadczeń migracji, zakorzenienia i przemiany.

Na tę serię silnie wpłynęły ciche, szare poranki polskiej zimy - spowalniając proces twórczy i kierując go ku intuicji. Papier staje się tu przestrzenią refleksji, potwierdzając słowa Anne Frank, że „papier ma więcej cierpliwości niż ludzie”.

Wystawa jest częścią badań doktorskich artystki nad wykorzystaniem naturalnych materiałów we współczesnej sztuce. To zaproszenie do zatrzymania się - i do ponownego poczucia więzi z naturą oraz z wewnętrznymi, cichymi krajobrazami, które każdy z nas nosi w sobie.

This exhibition is about a journey - both physical and inner. About memory, language, and nature, which continuously shape identity. About material that breathes, and words that sometimes fall silent and sometimes begin to bloom.

“Zmysł / Onubhob / Senses” brings together works created through the artist’s long-term journey across different countries, cultures, and emotional landscapes. Handmade Nepalese Lokta paper, charcoal, hemp fiber, ink, coffee, dried leaves, and tea stains form an organic visual language - balancing between the real and the imagined. In her recent works, the artist also uses self-made inks derived from avocado skins, beetroot, and oak galls, deepening her connection to material and the natural world.

Language is a crucial element of the exhibition - present in Bengali, Polish, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, and French. It becomes a landscape of transition, where words such as “home,” “the unknown,” and “life” form a poetic map of experiences related to migration, rootedness, and transformation.

This series was strongly influenced by the quiet, grey mornings of the Polish winter - slowing down the creative process and directing it toward intuition. Paper becomes a space for reflection, echoing Anne Frank’s words that “paper has more patience than people.”

The exhibition is part of the artist’s doctoral research on the use of natural materials in contemporary art. It is an invitation to pause - and to reconnect with nature, as well as with the quieter, inner landscapes each of us carries within.
