As more bodies turn up, Clouseau’s relentless incompetence drives his superior, Commissioner Dreyfus, to the brink of madness. Meanwhile, Clouseau unknowingly stumbles closer to uncovering a web of jealousy, infidelity, and deceit among the wealthy suspects. Filled with physical comedy, clever disguises, and farcical misunderstandings, A Shot in the Dark showcases Peter Sellers at his comedic best as the well-meaning but hopelessly clumsy detective. Ultimately, Clouseau’s blunders lead to the accidental solving of the case — proving that luck, not logic, is his greatest skill.
