The Wizard of Oz follows Dorothy Gale, a young girl from Kansas, who is swept away by a tornado to the magical land of Oz. Stranded in the vibrant and colorful world, she sets out on a journey to meet the Wizard of Oz, who she believes can help her return home. Along the way, she befriends three unlikely companions: the Scarecrow, who seeks a brain; the Tin Man, who desires a heart; and the Cowardly Lion, who wishes for courage. Together, they face various challenges and dangers, including the Wicked Witch of the West, who is determined to stop them. As Dorothy learns about friendship, bravery, and self-discovery, she realizes that what she needed to find her way home was within her all along. The film concludes with Dorothy returning to Kansas, where she learns that "there’s no place like home."
The Wizard of Oz is an enduring classic known for its whimsical characters, memorable songs, and timeless themes of self-belief and the importance of home.
