Breaking Barriers Series:

What Do I Say – Holding Inclusive Conversations Around Mental Health

with Ritu Bhasin and guest presenter Komal Bhasin

Mental illness will touch all Canadians at some point in their lives. Despite this shared reality, we continue to struggle to engage in meaningful and inclusive conversations around mental health – especially in the workplace.

As a leader, HR manager, or diversity professional, you have a key role to play in addressing the stigma and bias faced by people experiencing mental health challenges. But what can you do? How can you address the fear surrounding mental health in order to better interrupt biases, promote inclusive practices, and support team members?

Join us at bci’s Breaking Barriers breakfast event, where inclusion experts Ritu Bhasin and Komal Bhasin will coach you to develop the skills that are critical for promoting mental health inclusion in the workplace. In particular, you will learn:

Key concepts and language required to engage in supportive and inclusive conversations around mental health

Key behaviours for creating an organizational culture that supports the mental health of all team members

In this thought-provoking presentation, Ritu and Komal will help you to reframe your understanding of mental illness and develop the skills required to cultivate a culture of mental health inclusion in your workplace.
