He is the Interim Senior Director of UHN Research Institutes, Research Director of the Krembil Brain Institute, and Professor of Physiology at the University of Toronto. Before joining UHN, he was Scientific Director of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute at the University of Calgary and Deputy Director of the University’s Brain and Mental Health Research Strategy. Nationally, he has served as President of the Canadian Association for Neuroscience, he is a member of the Executive Committee of Canadian Brain Research Strategy, and a member of the Advisory Board for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Institute for Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction. Internationally, he served on the Society for Neuroscience Government and Public Advocacy Committee, through which he advocated for increased funding for research at the federal level.AccessibilityInnis Town Hall is accessible via Innis College on the main floor.
