Every Tuesday morning from 7:30-9:30 am, we greet commuters at the corner of St Clair and Keele with images and literature that give them a glimpse into the neighbourhood slaughterhouses. While we hope to get every one of these people to bear witness to the suffering in person, we bring the slaughterhouses to them in the meantime. Since starting this outreach over 2 years ago, we have exposed the existence of the slaughterhouses to tens of thousands of people.
Most of the people had no idea what was going on just around the corner. Today, many commuters are aware of the injustice and are hopefully being moved more and more to join us, as activists and vegans. We are hopeful because we see the reactions to our information and we are confident that inroads are being made every day. This is what keeps us coming back - we feel empowered and hopeful!
As Tuesday mornings are not necessarily convenient for everyone, once a month we meet here on a Saturday so that more people can get involved!!!
