Tickless Time is a silly little one-act comedy first performed in 1918. Ian Joyce, discovering that local Philadelphia time is 20 minutes off from Eastern Standard Time, rejects clocks in favour of the ultimate, accurate time-telling device: his homemade sundial. After convincing his wife Eloise to join him in worshiping the sundial, they are ecstatic at the prospect of living by sun-time. But chaos ensues when local rival couple, Eddy and Alice Knight come over for dinner and poke holes in their sunny new lifestyle. As the couples fiercely debate the pros and cons of #living your truth and social conformity, time is running out and the Joyce's cook, Annie, is losing patience. Will they decide what time it is in time for dinner? Or will the sun set before anybody can eat the spaghetti...
Tickless Time has a run time of 45 minutes, with no intermission.
