Are you passionate about photography and ready to take your skills to the next level? Join artist and photographer Alex Usquiano for a 5-session workshop designed for youth and emerging creatives (ages 16+) who already have an interest in photography and want to dive deeper into the artform.

Over five Thursday evenings in July, participants will:

• Explore the basics of photography (light, composition, framing)
• Experiment with digital art tools
• Practice using semi-professional cameras (provided)
• Participate in creative assignments and group feedback
• Build a small portfolio and share your vision through images

This is a hands-on, interactive series—whether you want to capture your neighborhood, tell a story, or explore visual poetry, this workshop will give you tools, time, and space to grow. Come with curiosity, a creative eye, and your unique perspective!

Spots are limited—secure yours today! All equipment is provided. No prior experience with DSLR cameras needed.

Facilitator: Alex Usquiano is a Toronto based visual artist who integrates different techniques to his exploration of new and contemporary languages of Art. With more than fifteen years working on the arts, both a practicing artist and an artist educator, Alex uses his talent on painting, performance, drawing and photography to promote love for the arts and to encourage children to find ways for self-expression and explore their creativity. Alex’s hobby is “psico magia”, his favorite food is pork bone soup and his favorite movie is Dreams by Akira Kurosaw.
