In the 1980s, I had a band. A goofy, fun, loud, clever-but-still-dumb rock 'n' roll band. We were called The Jitters. Eventually signed to Capitol Records - EMI Music of Canada, we had a few radio hits, like "Last of The Red Hot Fools," and "Closer Every Day." We toured Canada a lot, and even toured the UK, opening for Heart in Scotland and England. Now, we are reuniting (well, most of us are) at Hugh's Room in Toronto, on Friday November 28, and we have some news:
Our imagined rivals, the Flash Bangs, will be joining The Jitters at Hugh's Room on November 28! Exciting, fun, funny, poppy, the Flash Bangs have it all, and so of course, burning with envy, The Jitters will square off against this relatively-youthful power-pop trio in a wild, totally UNcaged cage match, starting at 8 pm sharp!
Th Flash Bangs will start rockin' after the land acknowledgement, and after the audience (the bloodthirsty, rabid, choosing-sides-before-a-note-has-even-been-played audience!) has settled into their seats and checked their phones, in case the grandkids have texted.
Excitement?! You got it, Pontiac! After the Flash Bangs tune and do their stretches, and The Jitters adjust their hernia trusses and put in their orthotics, it's ON, baby! You'll wish you'd been there, so why not just surrender and buy a ticket??
