Speaker's Corner

Join BIST as we improve public speaking and leadership skills, share our stories and build community at our Speakers' Corner program – lead by CHIRS (Community Head Injury Resource Services)- Speakers’ Corner.

• Speakers Corner is a free weekly program that focuses on helping people develop communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.
• Individuals progress at their own pace and there is never any pressure to sign up for meeting roles or present speeches until the person is comfortable.
• Speakers Corner is a structured and collaborative program that focuses on creating a positive and non-judgmental environment for its members.
• Speakers Corner is a place to learn and a place to have fun!

This program will involve BIST staff / students and BIST Members. Everyone will take a role in making the program work, such as:

• Master of Ceremonies
• General Evaluator
• Grammarian
• Jokemaster
• Timer
• Quiz master
• Table Topics
• Speaker!

We will learn as we grow this program – including each role and what it involves.
