PHANTOM has had to adapt, rebuild and conquer to keep creating spaces like this, and every time, people have stepped forward to help make it happen. That’s what this festival has always been about. We’re not asking you to watch a festival happen. ??’?? ?????? ??? ?? ???? ????? ??.????'? ?????????Toronto's best underground DJsInteractive art installations + live artPerformance + flow artistsWellness workshops + activitiesLicensed bar, run by PHANTOM, proceeds go straight back into the festivalLocal makers + artisan vendorsFood vendorsOpen-air dancing beside the water, with skyline views.???????? ?? ???????PHANTOMFEST exists because Toronto needs more places where people can gather, dance, create and take part without a ticket price standing in the way. A lot of people can afford a ticket and some people can’t. But everyone deserves and benefits from music and dancing. You don't need to dress a certain way, know the right people, or belong to a particular scene.Come alone. Bring your friends. Bring a blanket. Dance all day. Make something. Meet somebody. Stay for sunset.???? ?????'? ???? ???? ?? ???????Last year cost us roughly $23,000, and we stretched every dollar we had. Volunteers gave their time, artists gave their talent, and even then we couldn't compensate everyone the way we wanted to.This year our budget is $30,000. That jump isn't about going bigger for the sake of it. It's about running this safely, treating our artists and crew right, and building something sustainable so we can come back each year.Here's where it goes:- Safety, security & medical: $7,000- Sound, production & infrastructure: $7,500- Artists, DJs, performers & crew: $5,500- Permits, insurance & city requirements: $4,000- Washrooms, water, waste & accessibility: $3,000- Transportation, signage & contingency: $3,000Last year, our GoFundMe alone raised $12,260 from 131 people who believed in this. That's not a corporation.
