Next stop is Yorkville, where Mike’s trio becomes Luke (Gibson) and The Apostles. After a stint with The Ugly Ducklings, Joe Mendelson and Mike form McKenna Mendelson Mainline. Their trip continues through Diamondback, The Mike McKenna Band, Downchild Blues Band, The Guess Who, and Slidewinder. The journey spans four countries with many interesting stories along the way. 

Mike McKenna's Slidewinder Blues Band is a Toronto-based group of well-seasoned musicians, playing favourites from McKenna Mendelson Mainline alongside new originals and classic blues. Along with Mike McKenna (guitar & vocals), Slidewinder features Tom Robertson (vocals, guitar & harmonica), Dave Breckels (drums), Charlie Hinkel (bass & vocals), and Jay Moonah (harmonica, organ, guitar & vocals).

As part of Toronto's seminal Yorkville scene, Luke & the Apostles have been rocking the blues since 1964. Featuring original members Luke Gibson (vocals, guitar & harmonica) and Mike McKenna (guitar & vocals), the current lineup also includes Ed Hamm (drums & vocals) and Jeff Hamm (bass & vocals).
As part of this special show to celebrate the release of Mike's book, each band will play a set and then will join forces at the end for a rocking tour-de-force finale! Saturday June 13.
