Farah joined THP in 2017 as the Regional Program Director for the Mississauga Halton Central West Regional Cancer Program. She has since assumed the role of Director of Quality, Risk and Patient Safety, in which she has been recognized as an inclusive, strategic, and collaborative leader. She has been effective at supporting and influencing the development and use of evidence based best practices with foundations in quality and patient safety to advance the hospital’s quality agenda and to enhance patient outcomes with a positive patient experience. Prior to joining THP, Farah was the Senior Director, Surgery and Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital.Farah has a Master of Nursing degree from the University of Toronto, and has received numerous recognitions of her leadership and accomplishments in advancing excellence including the RNAO President’s Award in Clinical Nursing Practice and a City of Mississauga COVID HERO Civic Award of Recognition. Farah is an Adjunct Lecturer with the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto, where she also is a Member of their Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigenous Reconciliation Committee.
