Maha Kumbabishekam & Raja Gopuram Maha Kumbabishekam 2019
Canada Sri Ayyappan Hindu Temple is proud to announce the grand opening ceremonies of its new Raja Gopuram and 2nd Maha Kumbabishekam of its Temple.
Every 10-12 years Hindu Temples renovate and re-energize their temples for to serve the devotees for the next decade.
The temples first Maha Kumbabishekam was in September 2009.
The temple is currently open and some pujas are. Taking place. The portions of the temple are closed off to complete major restoration and renovation work. All the sanctums will be cleaned, painted and retiled. All the statues will go through intensive rituals to prepare it for the next 12 years.
The main hall will be repainted and decorated for the big day.
As many of you know that this temple is public temple managed by volunteer directors.
The temples main purpose is to provide religious and spiritual services to the public. Ayyappan has no caste, religion, or creed.
The temple strives to make it premises a safe and open space.
It serves free freshly cooked pure vegetarian meals on Sunday and Festival days.
It continues to provides Tamil and religious classes for free every Saturday and Sunday.
