- **Event Description**: Join us for a two-part workshop to learn all about Linocut reduction printmaking!About this EventFor students with previous Linocut experience, this course offers advanced techniques to further your growth as a printmaker. Linocut Reduction printing is a process that enables the creation of multi-colour prints from a single block of Lino. Over 2 sessions, you’ll learn about this approach to relief printmaking and create a small edition of prints using two different colours. Please bring your own sketches, drawings, designs or photo reference for inspiration.Beginners welcome.Please bring an apron or wear old clothing. All materials included.Saturday, November 22 and 29, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (two sessions). Please note, this program is happening during the 2025 Anual Holiday Market.Registration: Public $150, TBG Members $135 (plus applicable taxes and fees)About Alan LiArtist and conservationist Alan Li uses pencils, ink and paint to document the wonders of the natural world. Alan’s mission is to build connections to nature through arts-based education. Since 2015, he has been partnering with non-profit environmental organizations to teach nature focused art programs and workshops.Alan was responsible for the successful launch of the Toronto Nature Sketch program in 2018, teaching all of the art lessons during that inaugural year. Nature Sketch is an initiative of Canadian artist Robert Bateman and the Bateman Foundation.In 2019, Alan was a speaker at the annual Ravine Symposium at Toronto Botanical Garden. In his presentation, he shared stories behind ravine inspired artwork created by himself and a small brigade of volunteer artists.
