Bram & Bluma Appel Salon
Toronto Reference Library, Toronto, Canada
Toronto Public Library presents author and science journalist Jay Ingram to discuss his new book The Science of Pets with host Jess Allen.
Ever wondered why your dog spins in circles when excited? Do cats really love us, or are they just tolerating our presence? What makes baby animals so irresistibly cute? As the former host of two national science programs in Canada, (Quirks & Quarks on CBC radio and Daily Planet on Discovery Channel Canada), Ingram draws on cutting-edge studies to tackle myths and misconceptions while delving into questions both whimsical and profound.
Jay Ingram brings his inquisitive mind and irreverent wit to discuss the fascinating scientific world of the more than one billion pets sharing our homes worldwide.
Question and answer session and book signing to follow. Books available for purchase.
