Please note: Cycle 2 is meant for those who've already attended a Cycle 1 training. (We have another Cycle 1 on April 24.)
Cycle 2 takes a deeper look at historical narratives and recent efforts to re-frame relations between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians.
Specific content: the “White paper”, amendments to the Indian Act, the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), Canada’s apology to residential school survivors, the 60’s Scoop lawsuit, and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
