The Jalalabad Ladies Club arranged an event to celebrate “Hemonto Uthshob” in Toronto, a celebration fair held in Bangladesh during the winter season where individuals gather to create stalls.

"Hemonto Utshob" itself isn't a single fixed date, it broadly marks the time of the new rice harvest and is a significant cultural event characterized by agricultural celebrations, traditional songs, dances, and the preparation of rice-based sweets like pitha. Similarly, here in Toronto, Canada, we aim to recreate this festive occasion in our winterland.
