Glad Day Bookshop, 499 Church St, Toronto, ON M4Y 2C6, Canada
Hola Marikitass!
We're back with our delicious FUFA - Food for All / Comida para Todes a 2SQTBIPOC centered gathering with food and live music.
For our second iteration we will be featuring the talented Fran and Jet who will delight us with a musical and visual journey in their duo ATTALOOM. You can find them at @attaloom on Instagram. Jet and Fran collaborate to develop the mood for each element of the music mixing live projections that evoke a sense of fluidity and create a "sound for your eyes" experience. The integration of visual and auditory elements is shaped through hours of conversation where ideas and emotions are exchanged to craft the final piece.
And to also feature the talented community members who are art creators we have as vendor Sun. Sun is an artist and energy conduit based on the margins of Scarborough. They are a drawer painter sculptor and textile artist who creates mixed media visual art. She is an earth worker exploring herbalism somatics and doula work. They are also a community builder and arts facilitator. Sun works with community organizations as a web and graphic designer. At our market Sun will be doing tarot readings and henna while selling their ceramics patches prints and stickers. Check out their work at @lilsun.draws on Instagram or www.lilsun.art
As always our food will be vegan and gluten free. Keep updated to find out our menu! There will be drinks available for purchase at Glad Day.
A big thanks to Community One foundation who awarded us a grant to make this possible thanks to YouthLine and Glad Day Bookshop for their support and PFlag for their donation.
