Who are the Timberdoodles? What dance are they doing? And what makes them come here?Join TRCA educators to learn more about the American Woodcock and observe their unusual courtship behaviour against the backdrop of the setting sun.TRCA educators will share more about the Woodcock, their habitat needs and why TTP is the perfect place for these special shorebirds. The presentation will take place outdoors - hats, gloves, long pants and jackets are recommended.The walk to the viewing location will be very muddy and wet in the spring. Rubber boots are strongly recommended.Consider bringing a headlamp or flashlight to help illuminate the trail after sunset. Flashlights will also be available to borrow during the program.Note that we will be stopping at the viewing location to observe the birds. Consider your own comfort - bug spray or bug clothing may be useful to you.Public bathrooms are limited on site.
