Think of it as an afternoon to connect with fellow travellers, where you can swap stories about the places you’ve wandered, the maps (or apps) that got you there, and the souvenirs, snapshots, or songs that you brought back as reminders of that special trip.
Bring examples of your trip memories to share in your conversations (see below for examples). Prior to the event, you can use your ticket to access the special exhibition, Saints, Sinners, Lovers, and Fools: 300 Years of Flemish Masterworks. In it, you’ll see such treasures as the Western world’s very first atlas and breathtaking artists' views of Antwerp that invite us to reflect on how people have navigated and remembered grand cities across time.
Come curious, leave connected—no passport required.
What You Can Bring:
We suggest one item per conversation round, that way you can vary them throughout the event. Remember, the rounds are quick, so make good use of your time.
A memory - A souvenir, photograph, clothing, memento, song, poem or any item that reminds you of a trip you took.
A tool - An old map, app, travel card, transit pass, backpack, hiking shoes, camera, or anything that helped you during your trip.
A lesson - Not necessarily tied to an item, but something important that you learned on your trip that has shaped who you are today.
