SYNOPSIS: Set during the Troubles in the 1970s, this comedy/drama stars Cillian Murphy as a transgender woman foundling who leaves her small Irish town for London in search of her long-lost mother. Neil Jordan directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Patrick McCabe, based on McCabe's 1998 novel of the same name. Ruth Negga, Stephen Rea, Brendan Gleeson, and Liam Neeson also star.
This is my favourite Cillian Murphy film and my second fave film of all time (Velvet Goldmine is #1) so needless to say, I'm thrilled to watch it with all of you!
