"description": "\r\nMy name is Rebecca and I’ve been crocheting almost all of my life. I learned the basics at a very young age from my mother, who made the most beautiful baby afghans (blankets) and washcloths.\r\n\r\n\r\nFor the last 9 years I take my crocheting with me everywhere I go. Initially people started asking me to make crochet hats for them. I sold many custom winter toques with peoples’ names crocheted into them or words like “love”, “hope” and “peace”. \r\n\r\nI have since become inspired to create different wearable crochet items including halter-tops, water bottle sleeves, ‘stuffed mushroom’ pouches, earrings, princess tiara headbands and more. I sell my creations at craft shows, through social media and to returning clients who order from me every year. \r\n\r\nThe crocheting possibilities are endless, so I try focusing on the items I enjoy creating most. There is a special niche market of individuals who appreciate meticulous hand-made clothing, and my shop is aimed at this group. You can visit my website at www.crochetculture.ca to see my work and upcoming craft shows and workshops.\r\n\r\n\r\nI look forward to teaching other people how to crochet so that this craft can spread and thrive! \r\n"
