How well do you know Toronto’s art and architecture scenes? What about the places where they come together? From thoughtfully-designed galleries to seamlessly integrated public art, our city is filled with spaces and places where the visual arts meets architecture—and we can’t wait to dive into them at our next trivia night!
Come join us solo or as a team for a joyful evening of fun, laughter, and maybe even a little bit of learning, as the Toronto Society of Architects and the Arts & Letters Club come together to explore the intersection of these two worlds. Test your knowledge about the art in our built environment and the people behind these works, all while enjoying refreshing drinks and great conversation.
Everyone is welcome—so whether you know a thing or two about Toronto’s built environment, the public art scene, or hoping to learn something new, this event is for you!
You can come as an individual or a team (up to 4). Individuals will be grouped together at the event and the top team will win a special prize!
Doors open at 7:00 PM and trivia will begin at 8:00 PM, with tours of the building available during the first hour. Trivia will end at approximately 9:30 PM.
There will be light snacks and drinks available for purchase (debit, credit, and cash). The bar opens at 7:00 PM.
Please note this venue has limited accessibility. While the main entrance is accessible by a ramp, there are 5 stairs inside the front door which can be navigated with a staff-operated stairlift. The stairlift has a weight restriction and does not allow for scooters or motorized wheelchairs but can accept walkers or manual wheelchairs. From the main floor, all rooms and all floors are accessed by an elevator. The washrooms do not have a self-opening button.
The arts come together at the historic Arts and Letters Club, a century-old institution that has been the meeting place of some of our city’s most notable architects, artists, actors and authors. Housed in the distinctive St. George’s Hall, a 1891 building featuring an eclectic blend of Romanesque, Flemish and medieval architecture, the Club has long-played an important role in Toronto’s art scene, particularly due to its association with the Group of Seven. Early meetings of this iconic group of painters took place within the club's rooms, contributing to the development of a vital and distinct Canadian artistic identity.
