Using the focused improvisational practice of Miles Davis and Duke Ellington in assembling bands as much or more than assembling music, Nilan has assembled a trio of musicians to form a standalone, yet flexible basis for expansion...the Art of the  Rhythm Section.
As legendary rhythm sections have existed as accompanists as well, we seek to establish a focus that purposefully avoids any solo dynamic in favour of a virtuosic section approach.
