Her musical practice is informed by Black American music, "Jazz", folk music, Toronto experimental communities and the grating soundscape of the 401. She mainly works with voice and voice manipulation through electronics and found materials. Set 2: Mike DeiContMike is a bass player, music writer, improviser, and podcaster. He can be heard performing regularly throughout New York and Southern Ontario with DeiCont | Philips Collective, Northern Danger, and DeiCont/Cohen/Kirkpatrick. Set 3: David OcchipintiDavid Occhipinti is a composer and guitarist whose music crosses borders from jazz and improvised music, into contemporary classical music and beyond. David has received two Chalmers Arts Fellowships, as well as multiple JUNO nominations for his work as a recording artist. Among his nominated recordings are his critically acclaimed album Forty Revolutions in 2007; and Duologue, in collaboration with saxophonist Mike Murley, in 2003.David often performs with Canadian jazz icons Mike Murley, Lorne Lofsky, and Terry Clarke (C.M.) to name a few.David’s recorded work has been featured on the CBC and BBC.David has performed and toured across Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Japan.
