In 2025, our Cup for Cup event, which was also held at the Old Spaghetti Factory, funded clean water filters for 22 families in Uganda, East Africa! Over its 25-year life lifespan, each water purifier cleans the equivalent annual water consumption of one Canadian household. In other words, you could replace each litre of potable water used here by ensuring that a litre of water is purified where it is needed. Amazingly, this will save each family about $1,000 (in treating water-related illnesses) over the lifespan of the water purifier.
