Fuji-Yuki, a Japanese vocalist who uses her voice as an instrument, is the next guest of Evolving Soundscapes, the public programme of the exhibition by Chiharu Shiota, curated by Chiara Lee and Freddie Murphy .
Through extended vocal techniques, glossolalia, and the use of electronic pedals, she creates a wide range of sounds. Inspired by the spirits of Buddhism and Shintoism, she transforms her voice into ambient drones and prayers that resonate as if within a sacred space.
