Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) è un giovane scrittore che crede ancora nel colpo di fulmine e si innamora perdutamente di Sole (Zooey Deschanel), la bellissima nuova segretaria del capo, che invece non crede nei rapporti duraturi. Il film segue e racconta i 500 giorni della loro storia.
L’ingresso è libero e gratuito. Il film verrà proiettato sia col doppiaggio italiano, sia in lingua originale con sottotitoli in italiano. 
L'iniziativa fa parte della manifestazione estiva Mappa Mundi. 
Mappa Mundi si inserisce nell’ambito del programma culturale “TORINO CHE SPETTACOLO! CHE BELLA ESTATE!”. Un progetto della Città di Torino, in collaborazione con Fondazione per la Cultura.
