No experience necessary.About this EventHello,My name is Helen McCormick and I'm a local ceramic artist and qualified art and design teacher. I've been creating objects from clay for the past 28 years, and I still absolutely love the process. I am passionate about teaching and have created this workshop to share my skills, knowledge and experience with anyone who would like to have a go for the first time or to develop their skills further.Join me for a relaxed and welcoming workshop where you can meet new people and enjoy a day of creativity, learning, and fun. You’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of hand-building your very own Highland cow sculpture using traditional techniques. I’ll be there to support you throughout, making sure you feel confident and inspired every step of the way.All materials and equipment will be provided. Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the workshop. The only thing you need to bring is a packed lunch, wear old clothes or bring an apron and trim any long nails.After the workshop, I will carefully take your sculpture home and fire it in my kiln. These sculptures are not glazed as the terracotta will age beautifully in your garden over time. Your sculpture will be ready to collect approximately 6 weeks after the workshop from Nancy Potter House. I will let you know the date and time.
