For those interested, a group of individuals will be riding the 616 mile Ride Across Arizona (over 80% unpaved) starting May 4th. The ride requires no entry fee or formal registration. There are no start lists or waiting lists. This is not an organized or sanctioned ride in any way. Each rider is responsible for their navigation and well being. This is not a group ride. For those that want to start at the same time, meet in the Topock Route 66 parking lot at the Arizona side of the Colorado River near the community of Topock at 6:00AM on May 4th. The idea behind this common meeting place is to be able to have a like minded group of individuals on the route at the same time to boost camaraderie and safety. It’s that simple. Ride as far as you can and above all try to remain positive and have fun. The scenery is stunning and the length of the ride becomes an adventure.
Route 66 will celebrate its 100th birthday in 2026! Arizona is home to the longest remaining stretch of uninterrupted Route 66, which is 157.87 miles from Topock to Crookton Road. On the Ride Across Arizona 2026 not only will you ride on sections of the original Route 66 but you’ll visit five of its most iconic towns : Topock, Seligman, Ash Fork, Williams and Flagstaff.
