- **Event Description**: Celebrate Kansas Pollinator Week with a guided Wildflower Walk at Grant-Bradbury Prairie Preserve in Shawnee County on Tuesday, June 23 at 6 p.m. The tour will be led by Shawnee County Extension Master Gardener Mick Delfelder who is also a member of the Kansas Native Plant Society. Grant-Bradbury is an 80-acre native prairie park that has never been plowed and is loaded with wildflowers in June. Nearly 400 species of plants have been identified on the site. This tour is free and open to the public. Entrance to the park is off of University Drive (take Topeka Blvd. south to University Drive and turn west). Please note: there are no bathroom facilities on site. Please bring your own sunscreen, bug spray, hat, and drinking water. We will be walking on a mowed path but close-toed shoes are recommended.
