General Rules:

- Theme: The theme will need to be related to gnomes and a fantastical or Renaissance setting.

- Size Restrictions: No more than 2' x 2'

- Material Restrictions/Suggestions: Encouraged: Natural materials like wood, bark, leaves, moss, stones, twigs, acorns, and other foraged items are preferred.

- Allowed (with limitations): Glue (used sparingly for construction), paint (non-toxic), and small embellishments.

- Age Categories: Contests might have different age categories (Children 5 - 12 * Teen 13 - 19 * Adults - 20 & up * Best business)
Winners will receive - $25 Cash prize Each - Business will win $100


Participating artists are invited to submit their handcrafted Gnome Homes for display at the Topeka Renaissance Festival by delivering their entries to The Woodshed Event Center, located at 1901 N. Kansas Avenue, on Wednesday, June 18th.

Upon submission, each Gnome Home will be assigned a unique identification number. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite creation online via the official Topeka Renaissance Festival Facebook page. All entries will also be showcased in an online gallery on the Facebook page for broader visibility.

Winners of the Gnome Home building contest will be announced on Monday, June 23rd, and participants can collect their entries from The Woodshed Event Center on the same day.

SELLING YOUR GNOME HOME

Builders will have the option to price their handcrafted Gnome Homes for sale during the Topeka Renaissance Festival, with a generous 10% of the proceeds directly benefiting Topeka Restore - Habitat for Humanity. This not only allows artists to recoup their material costs and potentially profit from their efforts but also contributes to the fundraising goals of our partner organization. Purchased Gnome Homes will be available for pick-up on Monday, June 23rd, following the conclusion of the festival.
