Join Compass Point, home of Dirty Girl Adventures, for a special Songwriter Showcase, Songs of the Heartland, featuring Gary McKnight, Garrett Rake, and Caleb Nelsen. In the unique setting that is The Backroom Bar at Compass Point, these three singer-songwriters will ply their trade - singin' songs and tellin' stories! Each of these musicians is a locally grown talent with songs and life to share.

Gary McKnight - Gary is an audiologist in Kansas, known as "The Dizzy Doctor" for his specialization in dizziness and balance disorders. His practice is located in Topeka and Holton. He is also a musician who fronts the band True North.

Garrett Rake - Garrett is a multi-instrumentalist who performs with True North and Cleveland Blue. He is an energetic, outgoing guy who loves playing music and entertaining crowds with his stories and songs.

Caleb Nelsen - Caleb is a Kansas-born singer/songwriter blending Americana roots with country, rock, and pop influences. His music is built on honest, no-frills songwriting and raw, high-energy acoustic performances. He aims to bring real stories to life with grit and passion.

Compass Point is part of the NOTO Common Consumption Area. This allows you to purchase an alcoholic beverage from a licensed CCA vendor and walk through the Common Consumption Area. All drinks within the CCA MUST be in a branded cup from one of the licensed CCA vendors within the NOTO Arts District.
