It's about a 5 hour drive give or take a few bathroom stops!Friday May 29th: Arrive at Historic Lake Scott State Park to set up camp. Arrival time is flexible based on your needs. Dinner is on your own. Sunset is at 8:45pm. We'll have the campfire ready!Saturday May 30th : THIS WILL BE A FULL & FABULOUS DAY! We will board our bus at 7:30am for a guided fossil hunt! We will eat lunch in Scott City at the amazing Mom and Pops diner - plan for PIE! After lunch, we will take a private tour of the Duff Buffalo Ranch. Depending on the weather and hike availability we MAY squeeze in hiking at Little Jerusalem Badlands. Sunday May 31st: If we haven't yet visited Little Jerusalem Badlands, it will be our first activity afer we break camp. From there we will visit Monument Rocks then we will all roll home exhausted but full of joy at a full weekend exploring nature!Gear and supply list: Bring all your camping gear, hiking gear (day pack, trekking poles), head lamp, snacks, 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts. You may need coffee, tea, water (refill station available) or other drinks.Your trip cost covers tips for the specialty guides (fossil hunting and tour of Duff Buffalo Ranch) that we have arranged to serve our group.
