Aviation Explorer Post 8 is opening the doors to all teens ages 14 to 16 who have completed 8th grade to our annual Open House!

Meet our current Explorers, pilots, instructors, and advisors while learning what Post 8 has offered Topeka-area teens since 1952.

Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 9 AM to Noon at Billard Airport (Note: not at Topeka Regional/Forbes).
 
Potential members can get a coupon for an introductory airplane ride, (weather and pilot availability permitting... thunderstorms still outrank us for VFR flights!).

Post 8 Explorers can:

? Work toward a private pilot certificate using Post aircraft after completing ground school
? Learn from aviation professionals
? Visit aviation and science facilities
? Build leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
? Attend EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the world's largest aviation celebration.... and more.

Parents and guardians should attend and learn more with their potential Aviation Explorer Scout (required for flight).
